However, with the pending house search & trying to save every penny, I decided to be a good little wifey & go thrift shopping vs. my fave stores. And boy, am I glad I did! I parused the housewares looking for fun pieces to add to my kictchen or decorate with & this is what I found:
And not just one, but two!
These are going to look just fabulous with some fresh fruit in them! Only problem is.. In my head they look much more fabulous in a new kitchen! ;)I also picked up one more thing (but I couldn't leave my favorites out of the shot!). I think I'll find some pretty things to display in it for now, and then arrange Christmas bulbs in it for the holidays!
I also found a GORGEOUS Mori Lee gown! Seriously, I don't know who gave that thing away, but I scooped it up for $5! I'm hoping it will fit one of my sisters for their prom, but if not, it's going on Ebay for some serious profit!
Other reasons Thursday was good:
- Got reassurance that I'm NOT pregnant. (Freaking out every time AF is late EVERY month or when I'm feeling sick in the mornings is getting old. I need to just trust the pill & chill..tee hee..)
- I had a recipe-success! Made yummy Satay Chicken Skewers and Roasted Potatoes.. will share later, I promise!
- Menards (To those not in the midwest, it's similar to Lowe's & Home Depot). For the second time Hubby and I went there just for fun. Yes, we just walk around and plan. What we're going to use for what when we FINALLY get a house. From paint colors to trim to girl-tastic pink tools.. we plan it all. And we're usually there for at least a good hour and a half. You know it's bad when you get to the register with your $10 purchase and the clerk says "Didn't I see your earlier?" (We can't help it if she was the only register open & we needed a drink & some snacks for our browsing adventure!)

Sometimes I get pregnant worries myself. I can't wait until we actually start TRYING, though! It will be a ways down the road but I'm still excited.

I think that I actually have one of those bowls you got. It was my great grandmother's I think. Yours are in better shape though! They would look really good with fruit or something - I'll have to find mine!
